PatternCall is a product of Broken Cloud Group, LLC ("we," "our," or "the company"). PatternCall ("the app") is an aviation radio communication trainer. This policy describes how we handle your data.
What we collect
- Account info: Email address (if you sign up). Used for login and account recovery.
- Profile: Callsign, aircraft type, home airport. Used to personalize scenarios.
- Progress: Scenario completions, scores, streaks. Stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our servers if you create an account.
- Analytics: Anonymous usage events (scenario starts, completions, app opens). No personally identifiable information is included.
- Payment: Subscriptions are processed by Stripe (web) or Apple (iOS). We never see or store your credit card number.
How we use your data
- Personalize scenarios to your home airport and aircraft
- Track your learning progress across sessions and devices
- Improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns
- Send account-related emails (password reset, subscription confirmations)
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to third parties
- We don't show ads
- We don't track or store your location. GPS is used only on-device to suggest nearby airports — your coordinates are never sent to our servers.
- We don't access your contacts, photos, or other device data
Data storage
Data is stored securely in the United States. Progress is also stored locally on your device using browser/app storage.
Data deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data from the in-app menu (Account → Delete Account), or by contacting us at support@patterncall.com. Local data can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing browser storage.
Children's privacy
PatternCall is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email.
